GOVT ASK TO TAKE OVER WUSAKILE MINE HOSPITAL
By Collins Chama- Wusakile Independent Member of Parliament Pavyuma Kalobo has asked
Government to take-over the management of infrastructure which is under the care of Mopani Copper Mines.
Mr. Kalobo has specifically pointed out Wusakile Mine Hospital in Kitwe as one of the facilities that should be given back to the community.
He made the request to Health Minister Jonas Chanda during a tour of Chamboli clinic in Kitwe.
Mr. Kalobo said the acquisition of 100 percent shares in Mopani by Government should be extended to facilities run by the mine.
He noted that Wusakile Mine Hospital is currently under-utilized.
And Dr. Chanda assured the Wusakile Lawmaker that line ministries such as the Ministry of mines will be engaged to look into the matter thoroughly.
