GOVT TO REVISIT ALLOCATION OF DISTRICT HOSPITALS-MASEBO
Mark Ziligone-Health Minister SYLVIA MASEBO says government will revisit the allocation process of the One Hundred and 15 Mini hospitals in all ten Provinces across the country this year.
Ms. MASEBO says this is because areas like Southern province was allocated only One Mini Hospital out of the One Hundred 15.
She says revisiting the allocation of Mini Hospitals is part of the New Dawn Government’s plans to distribute equitable health infrastructure across the country.
Ms. MASEBO was responding to Pemba Member of Parliament LAMECK HAAMWATA who wanted to know whether government had plans to construct a district hospital in Pemba.
In response, the Health Minister said government has plans to construct Mini Hospitals in new districts.
Ms. MASEBO said government has pushed the plans to construct the hospitals to 2024 in order to identify land where then can be built.
