Govt upbeat about tourist arrivals after visa waivers
Brian Mwale-Government is optimistic of increased tourist inflows and investments in the sector following the waiver of Visas for selected countries.
Tourism Minster RODNEY SIKUMBA says the waiver is among other notable steps that the Government is using to further strengthen bilateral relations.
In his toast statement at a reception for commemorating the German Unity last night in Lusaka, Mr. SIKUMBA said he wants to see the number of tourists from that country increase.
The Minister said Government wants to facilitate movements and allow visitors to come to Zambia and sample many attraction sites and unique cultural heritage.
And German Ambassador ANNE WAGNER-MITCHELL said Zambia’s peaceful democratic change is inspiring for her country.
Dr. WAGNER-MITCHE said her country stands ready to support Zambia in any needy area.
