Health workers recruitment clean
Zanis-Civil Service Commission Chairperson, PETER MUMBA has expressed happiness that giving authority to the districts to handle the recruitment exercises has stamped out any form of corruption that marred such exercises previously.
And Mr. MUMBA praised all the ten district human resource management committees on the Copperbelt for having done a good job in the 2022 health workers recruitment exercise.
Mr. MUMBA said a lot of people had lost hope in mass recruitments to the civil service because the selection was done at national level but that devolving such exercises to district level has given them confidence.
ZANIS reports that Mr. MUMBA said many perceived the previous advertisements on recruitments to the public service as formalities because preferred candidates had already been employed.
Mr. MUMBA said in Ndola that the districts have appreciated the decision by government to give them the authority to recruit because they know the type of human resource needed.
And Copperbelt Province Permanent Secretary, AUGUSTINE KASONGO said the provincial administration is happy that the district human resource management committees have delivered to the expectations of government.
