President HAKAINDE HICHILEMA says Government is determined to carry on the legacy of freedom fighters.
Speaking when he laid wreaths on late Freedom Fighter SIMON MWANSA KAPWEPWE’s grave in Chinsali, President HICHILEMA said freedom fighters sacrificed a lot for this country and their contribution to this freedom is something worth emulating.
He said the new dawn administration is determined to deliver economic and social independence for the betterment of every Zambian.
President HICHILEMA said if Government does not end corruption, it will be difficult to deliver jobs and make good use of the country’s natural resources.
Meanwhile, the Head of State has emphasized that his Government will decentralize the allocation of resources to ensure local beneficiation.
He said it will be unacceptable to have people from different towns doing works meant for local people as that will be depriving locals and should not be allowed.
And Late SIMON MWANSA KAPWEPWE’s daughter CHILUFYA has demanded that the history of the Country be well documented.
Ms. KAPWEPWE said there is so much distortion in the Country’s history which needs to be re-written and well documented.
She has urged youths to rise up and be productive and contribute to national development.
