HOUSING POLICY LAUNCHED
By Hannock Kasama:
A new National Housing policy and Implementation Plan that will be in force until 2024, has been launched.
Housing and Infrastructure Development Minister Vincent Mwale officially launched the policy in Lusaka.
During the event Mr. Mwale said the policy will help more citizens access decent and affordable housing.
Mr. Mwale said the country has the housing deficit of over one point five million against the population of over 17 million.
At the same function Civic Forum on Housing and Habitat Zambia Executive Director Grace Mtonga said a comprehensive policy framework is a prerequisite to addressing the housing deficit.
