ICT’s can transform businesses-ZICTA
Fortune Malata-Zambia Information Communication Technology Authority-ZICTA- says the country needs to come up with viable innovative ideas that will help transform the information and communication technology into sustainable business entities.
ZICTA Acting Director General PETHEL PHIRI says the ICT sector is critical for the growth of Zambia’s economy.
Ms. PHIRI says for this to be achieved collective efforts from both Government and the private sector are required to stimulate the development of scalable life enhancing ICT services with maximum social – economic impact.
She was speaking during a handover ceremony of a cheque worth K250,000 by Airtel Zambia towards the 2022 ICT young innovation programme.
Meanwhile, Airtel Managing Director APOORVA MEHROTRA said his firm is the right platform to incubate new talents among the youth in the country.
Mr. MEHROTRA says through social media platforms various business and economic ideas are birthed, hence contributing to the growth of the country.
