INCLUDE CLIMATE CHANGE-LUO
By NAIS:
Minister of Fisheries and Livestock Nkandu Luo has urged agriculture training institutions to include the topic of climate change in their Curriculum.
Professor Luo says this will help improve crop and livestock production.
She says the current syllabus does not fully address challenges faced by farmers in the fisheries and livestock sector.
She was speaking during the 65th graduation ceremony at the Zambia institute of Animal Health in Mazabuka.
The graduation was held under the theme “Embracing Livestock development in climate change”.
And acting school Principal Arnold Mulenga expressed optimism that the graduating students will contribute meaningfully to sustainable livestock productivity in the country.
