By Robert Mwanza:
An Educationalist, Sitibekiso Wamuyuwa has appealed to the Ministry of Finance to consider increasing the budgetary allocation to the ministry of Education for next year.
Mr. Wamuyuwa says this will help schools easily cop with challenges arising from the COVID-19 pandemic.
Mr. Wamuyuwa has also implored all stakeholders in the sector to heed President Edgar Lungu’s directive to consult widely on what should be done right so as to sustain the gains in the fight against the Corona Virus.
Meanwhile, Chilubi Member of parliament Mulenga Fube has noted that the decision to allow pupils to resume learning under the new normal, will save girls especially those in rural areas like Chilubi from social threats such as teenage pregnancy and early marriages.
