The family of late Confederation of African Football -CAF- and FIFA doping officer JOSEPH KABUNGO have called for a thorough investigation to establish the key factors that contributed to his death.

NONDE says the latest autopsy report shows that atherosclerotic coronary artery disease is what led to Dr. KABUNGO’s death during a riotous event at the end of a FIFA World Cup qualifier football match involving Nigeria and Ghana.
Speaking During a press briefing held by the family at the woodlands stadium in Lusaka today, NONDE said the family demands complete footage showing Dr. KABUNGO in the stadium to the point where he collapsed near the visiting team’s change room which was wi
hin CCTV range.
He said once the CCTV footage is availed it will help the family determine other factors that led to his death.
And NONDE said with FIFA placing sanctions on Nigeria over the occurrence, the family should also be considered for compensation in the spirit of fair play to sustain the children’s education.
