KALULUSHI RECORDS LOW COVID-19 VACCINATION RATE
Kalulushi Medical Officer, CLIFF HARA is disappointed with the low number of people who have vaccinated against COVID 19 in the mining district.
Dr HARA says only 46 of the targeted 70 percent population in Kalulushi have been vaccinated against COVID 19.
He says it is unfortunate that people are not taking COVID 19 seriously adding that there is need to adhere to the health guidelines to prevent new infections.
Dr HARA was speaking in Kalulushi during the launch of the wellness week, a partnership between the Rotary club and the district health management board to build capacity on communities to prepare for any preventable health emergencies.
Rotary club of Kalulushi past President LIFESI IKAFA urged residents to take advantage of the free health week to go for a free thorough medical checkup.
At the same function, Kalulushi District Commissioner KELLY JIBINGA said the new dawn government is committed to reduce the disease burden across the country.
