KALUMIBILA GOLD
By Wilson Mulinda:
The Kalumbila Multi-purpose Cooperative Society Limited has urged Zambians to come on board and buy shares in the Gold mine which they have acquired in North Western Province.
Society Chairman General Chilekwa Mambwe says this is in order to add value to the economy, in line with Government guidelines.
Mr. Mambwe says no country can balance its economy without participation from its locals.
He says Kalumbila Multipurpose Cooperative Society is now a licensed mine and is giving an opportunity to all Zambians to get shares at minimum costs.
Mr. Mambwe told ZNBC news in a walk-in interview that the Ministry of Mines has given local mines forty percent shares in Gold mining, and a lot can be invested using that percentage.
He said Zambia has the potential to become economically independent through mining.
