KALYALYA BOUNCES BACK
By Hector Simfukwe:
President Hakainde Hichilema has appointed Danny Kalyalya as Bank of Zambia Governor.
This is the second time that Dr. Kalyalya is heading the central Bank as he was at the helm of the institution between 2015 and 2020 after which immediate former governor Christopher Mvunga took over the position.
Special Assistant and Presidential Spokesperson Anthony Bwalya says the Head of state has also appointed Kabwe Lawyer Mulilo Kabesha as Attorney General while Marshal Muchenda will serve as Solicitor General.
This is according to a statement made available to ZNBC News by Mr. Bwalya.
Mr. Kabesha has taken over from Lusaka Lawyer Likando Kalaluka while Mr. Muchende has replaced Abraham Mwansa as solicitor General.
The appointment of the BOZ governor, Solicitor General and Attorney General is subject to Parliamentary approval.
