KAMANGA BEMOANS LOW COVID-19 REGULATIONS COMPLIANCE LEVELS
(ZANIS) Lusaka Province Permanent Secretary Elias Kamanga has bemoaned the low compliance levels among Lusaka residents in following the COVID-19 set health regulations.
Mr. Kamanga says a full-blown outbreak occurring in the nation would cause a great disaster because the country cannot contain a massive outbreak.
He says there is therefore urgent need for people to start complying with the set regulations.
Mr. Kamanga was speaking when he received a donation of assorted Personal Protective Equipment worth 1-hundred and 25-thousand kwacha on behalf of the Provincial Health Office, from the Zambia Red Cross Society at the provincial administration.
The donation consists of 9-thousand surgical face masks, 9-thousand examination gloves and 4 hundred N95 mask respirators.
And, Zambia Red Cross Society National President William Chisoko said the institution made the donation because it realised that health frontline personnel are still in need of personal protective equipment as the fight against COVID 19 Continues.
Provincial Head of Health promotion, environment and social determinants Chola Chongo, thanked the Zambia Red Cross society for the donation saying it will go a long way in impacting positively among the frontline staff who are battling the pandemic on a daily basis and are equally at risk of contracting the disease.
