KAZOZU GRID EXTENSION PROJECT ADVANCES

The construction of a13 kilometers Kazozu grid extension project in Senior Chief Sialunga of Mwinilunga district has advanced.
The project, which is being implemented at a cost of Six million kwacha, has reached 75 percent completion.
Over 1- hundred 30 vulnerable households, three government institutions and Senior Chief Sialunga’s palace are expected to benefit from the electrification project, once completed.
A check by officials from the Rural Electrification Authority -REA- at the site project revealed that the contractor Retro International Zambia has delivered all materials needed for the execution of the grid line.
REA Engineering Services Director Patrick Mubanga has expressed happiness at the pace the extension project is being implemented by the contractor.
Dr Mubanga said the Authority is optimistic that with the coming of electricity in the area, the livelihood of local people and delivery of government services will be improved.
And Retro International Zambia Kazozu Site Manager Kunda Chisenga disclosed that the project will be completed this month.
