Libraries still relevant in ICT age-NIPA
Masauso Mkwayaya-The National Institute of Public Administration -NIPA- has challenged education stakeholders to avail library services to the public so that people are kept informed on various important issues in society.
NIPA Executive Director ROYSON MUKWENA says libraries offer a lot of reading resources that are capable of keeping people’s minds active and productive.
Professor MUKWENA says libraries are also important in ensuring that learners at different levels of education adequately prepare for examinations.
And Professor MUKWENA says his institution has extended 1-month free library subscription to learners and School managers from selected Schools in Lusaka.
Professor MUKWENA said this during the launch of the National Library Week celebrations in a speech read on his behalf by NIPA Registrar, MAXWELL SAYA.
The National Library Week which runs from September 13th to 17th, 2021 has been celebrated annually across the globe since 1958.
In Zambia the event is held under the auspices of the Zambia Library Services.
