Livingstone thrills Kagame
Justine Akakulubelwa-Rwandan President, PAUL KAGAME, has promised to market the Victoria Falls and Livingstone’s tourism potential.
President KAGAME, who was in the company of President HAKAINDE HICHILEMA has described his visit to the Victoria Falls as a unique experience.
He says his visit to the Victoria Falls and interactions with Lions and Cheetahs at Mukuni Big Five, has offered him lifetime experience.
President KAGAME however says more could be done to market Livingstone’s tourism in order to attract more international tourists.
And President HICHILEMA says he is delighted to host President KAGAME and is hopeful the state visit will attract more Rwandan nationals to visit and sample Zambia’s tourism packages.
President HICHILEMA says Zambia and Rwanda will explore the possibility of consolidating tourism packages so that they can be jointly marketed.
He says Zambia has a lot to learn from Rwanda and that is why the two countries, yesterday, signed seven memoranda of Understanding.
Meanwhile, Senior Chief MUKUNI says the visit by the two Heads of State has saved the tourism players in Livingstone money to advertise the area as a tourist destination of first choice, especially to the people of Rwanda.
