The Livingstone City Council has closed establishments at the Mosi Oa Tunya Shopping mall in Livingstone, after discovering a flow of raw sewer at the premises.
Council Assistant Public Health Director, GREGORY BANDA has told ZNBC news that raw sewer is being discharged into a public drainage, contrary to the food safety, public health and local government acts.
Mr. BANDA has said the council has therefore with immediate effect closed down the premises, until the issues are rectified.
And Livingstone Mayor, CONSTANCE MULEABAI, who has visited the site has reprimanded Africa Super Markets management for not reporting the issue to the local authority on time.
