LUBANJI LWA NZAMBI CEREMONY SET FOR SATURDAY
Chief KAKOMA of the Lunda people of Mwinilunga district of Northwestern Province says the Lubanji Lwa Nzambi traditional ceremony will proceed despite the death of two senior Lunda chiefs in the region this year.
Chief KAKOMA explains that he is aware that other Lunda chiefs in the region have cancelled their traditional ceremonies this year as a way to mourn late senior Chiefs KANONG’ESHA and MUSELE who died in May and July respectively.
He has told ZANIS that the Lubanji Lwa Nzambi traditional ceremony is void of acts of celebration and entertainment but purely an event aimed at reflecting on the glory of God hence the decision to host it.
The traditional leader said due to its nature, the ceremony will equally be used to ask for God’s revelation on the cause of death of the two chiefs within a short space of time in one year.
Meanwhile, Chief KAKOMA said preparations for the ceremony which is set for this Saturday are progressing well.
He revealed that the ceremony is expected to be attended by government officials, local chiefs, chiefs from the Democratic Republic of Congo including ordinary people from across the country.
The traditional leader has warned those intending to go to the ceremony with disruptive and ill motives that they will be exposed and dealt with accordingly.
