Lungu Mourns Accident Victims
President Edgar Lungu says it is unfortunate that 28 people have died in one day, those that could have contributed to national development.
President Lungu is disturbed that a second tragic accident happened on the Kitwe-Kalulushi road claiming 16 lives, few hours after the first mishap occurred on the Ndola -Kapiri Road leaving 12 people dead.
The Head of State says it is regrettable to see so many lives being lost in continued road carnage in the country.
President Lungu has appealed to Public Service Drivers and all motorists to be more cautious on the roads to avert further loss of lives.
The Head of State has sympathized with families who have lost their loved ones in the disaster.
And, the President has urged the Road Transport and Safety Agency -RTSA and the Zambia Police to ensure that they work closely to bring sanity on the roads across the country.
This is according to a statement released to ZNBC News by Special Assistant to the President for Press and Public Relations Isaac Chipampe.
