MORE INVESTORS IN TOURISM SECTOR
By Hector Simfukwe:
Minister of Tourism Ronald Chitotela says a number of investors have shown willingness to construct modern infrastructure in tourist sites in the Northern circuit.
Mr. Chitotela says this follows government’s initiative to provide incentives to investors that will come on board.
He says local investors should not leave such an opportunity to foreigners, hence the need to come on board.
Mr. Chitotela told ZNBC News that the Workers Compensation Board will soon start building modern structures to support tourism along the shores of Lake Bangweulu.
Meanwhile Mr. Chitotela is happy with reports that the number of local tourists going to Livingstone has started picking.
He encouraged tour operators to continue promoting Local Tourism as this is a sustainable way of growing the sector rather than relying on foreign tourists only.
