NAME & SHAME POLITICAL VIOLENCE PERPETRATORS

Information and Broadcasting Services Permanent Secretary Amos Malupenga has urged the media to name and shame perpetrators of political Violence.
Mr. Malupenga says this is one way that will help to put an end to the vice by those that are championing violence.
He has also urged the media to be professional before, during and after the 2021 General Election by following the Electoral Act.
Mr. Malupenga was speaking during the launch of Media Guide to Reporting Elections in Zambia by Free Press Initiative in Lusaka today.
The PS however says he is happy that Journalists have not suffered any form of violence to date.
And the Permanent Secretary explained that the Media should play a key role in highlighting more on Covid 19 because there still some people that are doubting that Zambia is now on the third wave of the pandemic.
And British High Commissioner to Zambia Nicholas Woolley, has emphasized the need by media houses to be fair in reporting and also on the need to protect journalists against Violence.
He said this through his representative Steve Beel.
And Free Press Initiative Founder Joan Chirwa has called on the private and public media to focus on promoting peace and Unity before, during and after the 2021 General Election.
