Observe Inaugural KK day in dignity,Zambians told
Michael Kaumba-Government has urged ZAMBIANS to observe the inaugural KENNETH KAUNDA Day which falls tomorrow by engaging in activities that reflect, uphold and promote the values of the late founding father of the nation.
Acting Secretary to the Cabinet PATRICK KANGWA says in commemorating the day, the nation should reflect on the principles of peace and patriotism that Dr. KAUNDA stood for.
Mr KANGWA has told ZNBC News in a statement that Dr KAUNDA is also widely known for his selflessness and nationalism both locally and globally.
And, Mr KANGWA said government will facilitate various activities to celebrate Dr. KAUNDA’s 98th birthday through public lectures, television documentaries on ZNBC and the print media that depict his life.
He has called on public and private institutions to undertake community services that epitomise Dr. KAUNDA’s values and principles.
