PF To Take development to Milenge
President Edgar Lungu says the Patriotic Front (PF) will take development to Milenge District because it is the party in government which overseas distribution of national resources.
Campaigning for Chanda Masheke, the PF Candidate in the Milenge Town Council Chairperson by elections at Butimbwe Primary School grounds today, President Lungu said the PF candidate will have find it easier to solicit for development from government.
He said government has already made progress in the district by electrifying remote parts which enhances productivity.
And PF Secretary General Davies Mwila urged electorates in the district to vote for a PF Council Chairperson.
Mr. Mwila said the campaigns have been peaceful and urged the UPND to emulate the PF in its strongholds.
He promised that all campaigns going forward will be peaceful because violence does not bring any development.
And Health Minister, Chitalu Chilufya, who is also Campaign Manager, said government is constructing a district hospital and 7 centres in the district as part of improving access to health care.
And General Education Minister, David Mabumba said government has upgraded some secondary schools so that students do not walk long distances to access secondary education.
He said a new boarding secondary school will also soon be constructed to enhance access to education while stating that school fees have been reduced to allow even people in rural areas to educate their children.
Meanwhile, Nominated MP Raphael Nakachinda called on electorates in Milenge to deny political parties being sponsored by foreign elements only interested in the country’s resources.
Mr. Nakachinda said Zambians are the ones who voted for President LUNGU while other parties are being pushed by foreign elements who want to champion alien values like homosexuality.
President Lungu also held a public rally at Milenge Primary school.
UPND’s candidate is fielding BRAVE NSAMBA in the Milenge Town Council Chairperson by elections.
