Premiere de Agosto coach predicts tough Zesco encounter
By Chansa Kunda-ZESCO United’s opponents in the CAF Champions League, Premiere de Agosto coach, Dragan JOVIC has predicated a tough encounter with the Ndola side tomorrow at Levy Mwanawasa Stadium.
JOVIC, who described ZESCO as a better team said he expects a tough match but that his main goal is to collect maximum three points and broaden there chances of advancing to the next stage.
He said there is still chance for his team to turn out tables and progress to the other stage adding that morale in camp is high.
JOVIC said the Zambian league is a competitive one that has Production players who can compete at any level including Europe.
Meanwhile, ZESCO United skipper, JACOB BANDA said there is integrity to protect and will treat tomorrow’s match with the seriousness it deserves.
He said the team has NOT been playing games to lose but described the previous games as tough.
ZESCO and AGOSTO have two points from four games, five points behind second placed Zamalek and eight points behind leaders and Congolese giant’s TP Mazembe.
Meanwhile, ZANACO Football Club will on Sunday be in action against Motema Pemebe of the Democratic republic of Congo in a group B CAF Confederations Cup game.
ZANACO will host Motema Pemebe at the National hero’s stadium in the crucial group B encounter that kickoff at 17:00 Hours.
ZANACO are third of group B on Six points and are just one-point shy of their opponents who are second of the group on seven points.
