By Masauso Mkwayaya
Merck Foundation has called on professionals in various fields to adopt healthy lifestyles by engaging in fitness activities in order to prevent Non Communicable Diseases.
Foundation Chief Executive Officer, RASHA KELEJ says most careers promote unhealthy lifestyles because most professionals are largely inactive.
Dr. KELEJ said this in an interview with ZNBC News in Lusaka during the Merck Foundation Summit.
During the summit, ZNBC Journalist EFFIE MPHANDE received the 2021 Merck Foundation ‘Mask Up with Care’ Media Recognition award for her exceptional coverage that helped to create awareness about health, cultural and sensitive issues.
Ms. MPHANDE’s award was in the Multimedia Category Southern Africa, where she submitted a documentary that looked at the nature of the second wave of COVID-19, Government’s interventions and what people need to do to protect them against the pandemic.
