QUALITY HEALTH SERVICE IMPRESSES CHIEF
Paramount Chief Chitimukulu of the Bemba people has praised government for making strides towards increasing access to quality health services especially in rural areas.
Chief Chitimukulu says the on-going construction of new health facilities and upgrading of existing ones is commendable as this will enable people to receive better medical treatment.
He says the move signifies government’s commitment to taking health care services closer to the communities.
The Mwinelubemba said this when Minister of Health Chitalu Chilufya paid a courtesy call on him.
He noted that the upgrading of Kayambi Mission Health Centre in Mungwi District to a first level hospital will allow people to access advanced medical services within their locality and reduce on the number of referral cases.
And the Paramount Chief has called on government to speed up the construction of the Nseluka- Kayambi road.
Meanwhile, Dr. Chilufya said government remains resolute in ensuring the country’s primary health care system is strengthened.
He said the ministry of health will continue to increase infrastructure and recruitment of staff in the health sector.
