
Ronald Chitotela:Zambian tourism ripe for investment
Tourism and Arts Minister Ronald Chitotela has described Zambia as a perfect destination for investment in the hospitality industry.
Mr. Chitotela says Zambia particularly wants investors who can set up conference facilities of international standards in the country.
The Minister says Zambia has enough land for investors.
He was speaking in Madrid, Spain, where he is attending the Spanish International Tourism Trade Fair, which has attracted thousands of participants from the public and private sectors from across the world.
One of the participants, Luis Cruz, the Managing Director f Euro stars Hotel Company assured the Minister that his firm is keen to invest in Zambia and asked for more information on investment opportunities in the country.
Mr. Chitotela told Mr. Cruz that Zambia is politically stable and ideal for foreign investment.
And Maria Zarraluqui, the Global Development Managing Director at Melia Hotels International said the company is keen to expand in Africa.
Ms. Zarraluqui said Melia Hotels International will consider investing in Zambia.
