SCRABBLE ANNUAL CHALLENGE ON

The Scrabble Association of Zambia -SAZ- will this month host the Zambia National Annual challenge to crown the 2019 Champion.
SAZ-Secretary General Desiderius Chapewa says over 40 scrabble players will fight for the title that is currently held by Justine Chansa.
Chapewa says the May 25 to 26 Championship, will be highly competitive as it will be a qualifying tournament for the world championship to be held in India this year.
He says the Association expects players coming for the Championship slated for Lusaka, to bring their A game so that they can qualify for the World Championship.
He told ZNBC News in an interview that the Championships will be divided in two sections Division A and B.
Chapewa said 8 thousand kwacha has been set aside as prize money to be given to outstanding players at the championship.
Chapwea further said the Association will this year hold several tournaments to improve the sport among the youth and pupils across the country.
