Zambians turn up in numbers for Covid vaccines

And Health Minister SYLVIA MASEBO says the number of people getting vaccinated has increased following the revision of Covid 19 restrictions.
Meanwhile, Queues of people have continued forming in various vaccination centres across Lusaka.
A Check by ZNBC News found people getting vaccinated at various centres.
And in Solwezi Residents have turned up in numbers at various health facilities to receive the COVID 19 vaccine as restricting unvaccinated persons from accessing government buildings comes into effect.
A ZNBC News crew that visited health facilities in Solwezi found queues of people waiting to receive the COVID 19 vaccine.
This comes after government heightened prevention measures of the COVID-19 fourth wave among others people showing evidence of being vaccinated before entry into a government building.
And, Solwezi District Health Director Dr. CHIPILI LENGWE said the district medical team yesterday vaccinated one thousand five hundred people.
Dr. LENGWE says the district hopes to vaccinate ten thousand people by the end of this week.
Speaking at Solwezi General Hospital, Dr. LENGWE says the COVID 19 Vaccination has been rolled out in all rural parts of the district and has adding that the district has enough doses of the vaccine to cater for the population.
He has urged members of the public to get their vaccine as it will reduce the chances of contracting COVID 19.
And Solwezi Municipal Council Town Clerk BORNWELL LUANGA says the local authority heightened COVID 19 prevention measures in all markets and Bus stations.
Mr. LUANGA says if not fully monitored, markets and Bus stations have the potential of facilitating the spread of COVID 19 hence the need to heighten prevention measures.
