SOME YOUTH RESOURCE CENTRES TO BE COMPLETED BY JUNE
Government says all youth resources centres that are at 80 percent ,will be completed by June next year to ensure youths start acquiring the much needed skills training.
Youth and sports Minister ELVIS NKANDA says the resource centres are critical in developing skills among the youths.
Speaking when he paid a courtesy call on Copperbelt Province Minister ELISHA MATAMBO, Mr. NKANDU said the resource centres will play a key role in impacting skills in the youths.
He noted that the Government’s decision to increase Constituency Development Fund -CDF- to will allow youths to have access to finances.
Mr NKANDU said he is aware of the challenges many youths and women are facing in accessing the CDF and that government is working on normalising and simplifying the process.
Meanwhile, Mr. MATAMBO said expectations among the youths on the copperbelt are high to have the resource centres up and running so that they can acquire the much needed skills.
The Youth and sports minister is on the copperbelt touring various youth resources centres.
