SPORTS INFRASTRUCTURE APPEAL
By ZANIS:
A Sports Administrator in Chinsali, Muchinga province, has appealed to the new government to consider constructing sports infrastructure in the district.
Linda Chilamo says lack of modern sports facilities, such as stadia in rural areas, has led to poor participation of youths in sporting activities.
She says that construction of a stadium in Chinsali will revamp different sports activities, such as volleyball and netball.
In an interview, Chilamo said Chinsali has a number of talented youths, who can make a living out of sports, but lack of modern training facilities is affecting them.
Meanwhile, Chilamo has challenged women to step up their level of participation in sports activities.
