Spread tourism activities to more districts in S/Province-Hamukale
Justine Akakulubelwa-Southern Province Minister EDIFY HAMUKALE says there is need to spread tourism and arts activities beyond Livingstone, the tourist capital.
Dr HAMUKALE says while the tourism and art sector is already one of the biggest employers in the province, more people can be employed if it is spread across all districts in the province.
He says it is encouraging to note that the selling of curios outside Livingstone is growing, a sign that tourism and art can easily spread across the Province.
Dr. HAMUKALE was speaking when he toured Chisokwe Arts and Cultural village on the Mazabuka-Kafue road in Chikankata district.
And Chisokwe Arts and Cultural village Director DELORES MONTEIRO has appealed to the government to provide settlements for artists so that they can diversify.
