SWEDEN TO PROMOTE COPPERBELT TRADE
(ZANIS) Swedish Ambassador to Zambia ANNA MAJ HULTGÅRD says her government will work with Zambia to support trade on the Copperbelt.
Ms HULTGÅRD says a number of Swedish companies supply to the mines in the province hence the need for trade to be strengthened.
She added that Sweden will remain a long term partner to Zambia as its partnership can be traced before Zambia gained independence.
She said this when she called on Copperbelt Province Permanent secretary BRIGHT NUNDWE at his office today.
The ambassador is on the Copperbelt ahead of the 60th memorial commemorations of late United Nations Secretary General DAG HAMMARSKJOLD, who died in a plane crash in Ndola in 1963.
And Mr. NUNDWE said the bond between the two countries will remain strong following the various projects and investments that Sweden has brought to Zambia.
