ULTIMATE INSURANCE COMPANY CASE ADJOURNED

The Lusaka Magistrate Court has adjourned to September 3 and 7,2020, trial in a matter where three Marshlands Consortium Limited directors have been charged with forgery and uttering false documents, pertaining to the ownership of Ultimate Insurance Company
Lusaka Resident Magistrate Alice Walusiku who is presiding over the matter has also set October 6,7 and 8, 2020 as other trial dates.
Magistrate Walusiku has been prompted to adjourn the matter following the application by defence lawyers.
But the prosecution lawyers expressed displeasure with the frequent applications for adjournment by the defence team.
This is in a case where three Marshlands Consortium Limited directors are facing 15 counts of forgery, obtaining money by false pretenses and uttering false documents, pertaining to the ownership of Ultimate Insurance company.
