USE MTN SPONSORSHIP DEAL PRUDENTLY-LIWEWE
By Chansa Kunda:
Football Administrator Ponga Liwewe has urged Super League clubs to use the one million kwacha allocated to them from the MTN sponsorship deal prudently.
Liwewe says the money that comes from the 43-million-kwacha sponsorship deal should be maximised as it will boost clubs’ coffers.
He told ZNBC Sports News that clubs can leverage on gate takings and sponsorship deals in order to boost their revenue.
And Liwewe, who is former Football Association of Zambia -FAZ- General Secretary has called for deliberate measures to be taken towards getting the Shepolopolo ready for the Olympic games.
He said with only three months remaining to the games, the ladies need an intense training camp and a number of international friendly games.
The Shepolopolo are among 12 countries that will battle it out at the Olympic games that start in June this year.
