VOTER SENSITIZATION MOVEMENT FORMED
Dozens of Clergymen from all the 10 Districts of the Copperbelt Province have formed a Movement for Voter Sensitization to campaign for peace, unity and issue based campaigns ahead of the General Election.
Movement Copperbelt Provincial Chairman Harry Sakapaji says clergymen in the province will go flat out to urge people to be peaceful and unite as the country heads towards the election.
Fr. Sakapaji, of the Anglican Church, says Clergymen will play a critical role to sensitize all voters to analyze candidates and ensure that they all commit to peace ahead of the election.
He says Zambia is a democratic nation and only credible candidates who promote good governance will be embraced by men of God.
And Movement Copperbelt Executive Secretary Ellison Bwalya says clergymen will speak out against any politician who will campaign using violence and tribalism.
Bishop Bwalya says the men of God will not tolerate any sentiments which is likely to bring disunity in the nation.
