VUMBWI ELECTION CAMPAIGN CHEERS PF
The Patriotic Front -PF- is happy with the peaceful manner in which the Council Chairperson by- elections are going on in Vumbwi District.
PF Eastern Province Chairperson Andrew Lubusha says the PF has followed the instruction from President Edgar Lungu not to cause violence during elections.
He says the PF will easily return the seat because of the transformation that has happened in the area in the last eighty years.
Mr. Lubusha told ZNBC News that for the first time Vumbwi has a hospital, tarred roads and other modern infrastructure that never existed before.
He said the opposition parties are only on social media and not on the ground were elections are won.
And UPND Eastern Province Secretary Paul Daka said the campaigns have been peaceful in Vumbwi.
Mr. Daka told ZNBC News that the rains have, however, affected party activities in the ongoing by elections.
He said the peaceful manner under which the campaigns are going on is good for the Province and country.
Efforts to get the MMD who are also taking part in the by elections failed by Broadcast time.
The by elections in Vumbwi is as a result of the death of the Council Chairperson.
