WINA CONDEMNS VIOLENCE
Veteran Politician, Sikota Wina has condemned the violence that has characterized politics in the country.
Mr. Wina says violence will not help the country and that it does not give anybody power.
He has pointed out that political victory depends on party mobilisation and organisation.
The Veteran Politician has noted that acts of violence only help to destroy the good image of the country to the outside world and discourage investors from coming to the country.
Mr. Wina has also explained that late President Michael Sata did not resort to violence even after losing narrowly to former President Ruphiah Banda but instead concentrated on mobilising the party.
Mr. Sikota who is also co-patron of the Zambia United Freedom Fighters Association has told ZNBC News in an interview that the members of the association are appalled with the violence in the country.
He also says there can never be an excuse for violence and has since called on political leaders to put a stop to the violence.
