YALUMA ASSURES SMALL-SCALE ENTERPRISES
By Hector Simfukwe:
Commerce and Industry Minister Christopher Yaluma says government is aware that small-scale enterprises are finding it hard to access loans from Commercial Banks.
Mr. Yaluma says this is why the government will ensure that it puts money in government banks so that they can help people that are running small businesses.
He says the PF has demonstrated seriousness on the matter by including it in the party manifesto.
Mr. Yaluma says a number of Commercial Banks demand for collateral, making it hard for those who are starting to access their loans.
He told ZNBC News that small businesses can create thousands of jobs if well supported.
President Edgar Lungu today announced that government will pump in money in state-owned financial institutions so that they can provide loans to those operating small businesses.
