YOUTHS CALLED TO STAY AWAY FROM POLITICAL VIOLENCE

Luanshya District Commissioner Patrick Maipambe has urged youths in the district not to engage in political violence ahead of the August 12 general election.
Mr. Maipambe adds that Luanshya district has been peaceful during the ongoing campaigns and urged residents to safeguard the peace.
The District Commissioner was speaking when he officiated at the Edgar Chagwa Lungu Community Sports Initiative held at Twatemwa grounds in Luanshya.
And ECL Community Sports Initiative Chairperson Chanda Mulenga encouraged young people to exercise their right to vote.
Mr. Mulenga says youths should engage in productive ventures instead of being used to cause political unrest in the country.
Meanwhile, speaking at the same event, Campaign Manager for PF Luanshya Constituency Henry Nsama pledged to continue conducting peaceful campaigns, while observing all the COVID 19 guidelines.
