ZAMBIA TO HOST AFRICA SCRABBLE CHAMPIONSHIP AGAIN

Zambia has been maintained as hosts of the Africa Scrabble Championship that was postponed for the last two years due to the outbreak of the COVID -19 pandemic.
The Competition that crowns Africa’s elite scrabble players will be held in 2022 in Lusaka.
And Scrabble Association of Zambia -SAZ- President DESIDERIUS CHAPEWA said the Pan African Scrabble committee will on November 14, 2021 convene to set the dates and modalities for the competition.
CHAPEWA said over 14 countries will take part in the Africa Championship.
The Association over the weekend held its national championship that saw veteran scrabble player PAUL KALUMBA crowned winner.
KALUMBA who last won the national championship 20 years ago beat 14 other players to the title.
And CHAPEWA has called on players to continue training so that they can sharpen their skills ahead of other local and regional competitions.
