ZESCO’s New Signing Kasumba Eyes Golden Boot
ZESCO United Football Club’s newly signed Ugandan striker Umaru Kasumba says he is in Zambia to win more trophies for his club.
Kasumba says he targets to net more than 20 goals and win the golden boot in his debut season.
Kasumba last season scored 17 goals for his former side Sofapaka of Kenya.
In his debut appearance last Saturday, Kasumba scored the first goal and assisted the club’s two nil away win over Green Mamba of Eswatini in the first leg of the preliminary round of the CAF champions league.
Meanwhile, FAZ Deputy General Secretary Joseph Chipampwe who was delegation leader for ZESCO United in Eswatini is happy with the team’s performance.
Chipampwe has however implored ZESCO to aim high this time around and lift the 2019/2020 Continental trophy.
This is according to a statement issued to ZNBC news by ZESCO United Media team today.
