
ZRA beats revenue collection target
Joy Siatubi-The Zambia Revenue Authority -ZRA- has in the first five months of 2021 recorded positive revenue collections of 31.5 billion Kwacha in gross revenue and refunded 4.2 billion Kwacha as VAT refunds.
The net collection is 31.5 billion Kwacha against a target of 24.2 billion Kwacha, thereby recording a surplus of 7.3 billion against the target.
ZRA Commissioner General KINGSLEY CHANDA says this is heavily attributed to the customer-centric approach where systems have been improved to serve the taxpayers better.
Speaking during a tour of the newly refurbished ground floor of Revenue House in Lusaka, Mr. CHANDA said ZRA it remains committed to giving exceptional customer experience to all its taxpayers despite Covid 19 transforming lives and order in the business en

He said ZRA is dedicated to prioritising taxpayers by providing exceptional customer experience as they interact with the Authority both physically and online.
The Zambia Revenue Authority has embarked on improving its services in order to provide better customer experience countrywide through a number of initiatives.
The Authority has also set up a directorate of innovation that focuses on improving service delivery to taxpayers with various innovative ideas, products, and services being channeled out daily.
