ZRA IMPLORES BUSINESS ENTITIES
The Zambia Revenue Authority -ZRA- has implored business entities on the Copperbelt province to embrace new ways of doing business.
ZRA Commissioner direct Taxes and Exercises, Moses Shuko made the call when he toured Zambian Breweries, Ndola plant .
Mr. Shuko who is on the Copperbelt to interact with business houses says business firms should move away from traditional ways of doing business.
He told ZANIS that ZRA wants to see businesses thriving so that the authority can increase its tax base, a situation he said will enhance government operations.
And Zambian Breweries Corporate Affairs Director, Ezekiel Sekele said his company will work with ZRA and support it where remittance of tax is concerned.
He commended ZRA for curtailing the smuggling of clear beer from neighboring countries.
Mr. Sekele however said that the importation of glass is negatively impacting his company’s production.
He said Zambian Breweries has a challenge of sourcing glass which is imported from South Africa due to Ccovid-19.
