ZTA to Unveil Northern Province Tourism Potential
Zambia Tourism Agency -ZTA- says it is working towards unveiling the vast tourism potential that lies in Northern Province.
ZTA Domestic Tourism and Promotions Manager Justine Mbanga says the agency is focusing on realizing the aspirations of the 2020 budget aimed at exposing and developing the Northern Tourism Circuit.
Mr. Mbanga says government is keen on ensuring an increase in both local and international tourist traffic to the province.
Mr Mbanga said this when a team from the Zambia Tourism Agency and the Zambia Association of Tourism Operators paid a courtesy call on Provincial Administration in Kasama today.
And Northern Province Assistant Secretary, Sinera Kambenja has expressed happiness at the initiative by the agency to exploit the tourism potential in the province.
Mr. Kambenja said that the region has continued to lag behind in terms of tourism inflows despite being endowed with vast natural wonders.
Meanwhile, Zambia Association of Tourism Operators Honorary Secretary Maxwell Masempela said the initiative to explore the potential of the province will also help to sustain the heritage sites.
