Nkana Football Club has qualified to the last eight of the CAF confederations cup despite losing four goals to one to AL Hilal of Sudan.
Nkana qualified as runners up, thanks to Zesco United’s two goals to one win over Ghana’s Asante Kotoko in a match played at the Levy Mwanawasa stadium this evening.
This was in a match day six fixture played in Zambia and Sudan respectively.
This means that Al Hilal, who were hosting Nkana qualified as group C winners with 11 points while the Kitwe boys finished second on nine points.
Kotoko and Zesco United finished third and forth respectively on Seven points.
Zesco and Kotoko will now focus on the local league following their elimination from the competition.
Meanwhile, in the faz/mtn transitional super league stream A, ZANACO have moved to 17 POINTS on top of the table after they whitewashed visiting mighty Mufulira wanderers by 6 goals to 1.
And in stream B, forest rangers takes on power dynamos tomorrow in a week 8 fixture to be played at levy Mwanawasa stadium in Ndola.
