Under-20 National Football Team Coach, Mumamba Numba says Zambia still has a chance of advancing beyond the group stage of the on-going Junior COSAFA championship.
This is after the junior Chipolopolo on Wednesday failed to use home-ground advantage and lost 2-zero to Uganda in their opening Group A game being held on Copperbelt Province.
Speaking in a post-match interview, Numba acknowledged that Uganda were a better side and more organised than his team, however he says he does not regret using the Under-17 players in the game.
The Junior Chipolopolo’s next game is against Malawi and it is a must win if they are to revive their chances of going beyond group stage.
And Ugandan Coach Mathias Lule said his players have come to compete and not just participate.
He said the team will aim for a win against Swaziland to guarantee a place in the second round.
Meanwhile, the Championship has entered day two, with Lesotho playing Zimbabwe while South Africa will play Mauritius on Thursday.
Both games will be played at Nkana stadium.
