ROBBER KILL POLICE OFFICER’S WIFE
A police officer’s wife has been killed in Lusaka’s Makeni Villa area.
The deceased has been identified as Joy Simwamba, aged 31, the wife of Sergeant Billy Simwamba.
Sergeant Simwamba was also attacked and beaten, together with his brother, Brian.
The incident happened around 02 hours, when three criminals, armed with iron bars, attacked the officer at his home, demanding for a firearm.
Police Spokesperson, Esther Katongo has confirmed incident to ZNBC News in a statement.
Ms Katongo has explained that the deceased was hit at the back of the head with an iron bar, while the police officer and his brother sustained multiple injuries and are admitted to hospital.
Police have instituted investigations.
