Serenje Central Member of Parliament Maxwell Kabanda has thanked government for the early distribution of farming inputs to his constituency.
Mr Kabanda is however, disappointed that a named Agro Supplier engaged to supply input is failing to meet the farmers demand.
He said farmers are spending nights in the corridors of the shops in Serenje because agro dealers have inadequate staff to attend to the farmers.
Mr Kabanda told ZNBC News in a walk-in interview that he is disappointed that the bags of fertilizer that the government has disbursed to the constituency are still packed at the agro dealers shop.
He has appealed to government to intervene in the situation and ensure that the supplier increases their capacity to distribute the fertilizer.
Mr Kabanda also appealed to the Road Development Agency -RDA- to work on the Luomba bridge which collapsed last year.
